Update

Today I thought I would give you a little bit of an “update” on some of the posts which I have written from the start of lock-down

Day 1- Long curly hair and Inventions – Since posting the blog, a friend of my sister mentioned that she was writing a book about her battle with ethnic hair. She is “mixed” race (“white” mother and “black” father) and was looking for “contributors”! I have since sent her my blog and now all I have to do is send her some pics of these curls. Watch this space!

Day 2 - Nail maintenance – I have long since given up the battle and have now gone back to my roots of being au natural! Have enough to worry about! Have no reason to add nail maintenance to the list!

Day 3 - Being Still & Bedside reading – The singing has gotten better. No more laughing from me! Am trying to be still, but it is hard! If meditation is not your “thing”, if not now, will it ever be? Having a bit of an inner battle with that! I do try and “switch off” though and try not to think about anything in particular. Does normally involving watching home renovations programs. I am still on the fence on whether or not that counts!

Day 4 – Holiday Plans After finally moving our holiday to next year April, today we read that Air Mauritius has gone belly up! Not sure what it means for our trip next year. Am too scared to contact the travel agent and find out! It will have to wait until I am in a better frame of mind. Hopefully next week.

Day 5 – Exercising with a New Diagnosis – Believe it or not, but life has gotten a bit busy, so I have not “prioritized” exercise this week. Unfortunately it has been to my detriment, as I am now really feeling it in my knee, especially at night and early morning when getting out of bed. Although on medication for it, exercise is still the best thing! Gosh, maybe it is old age setting in, being creaky and all that!

Day 6 – The pros and cons of bulk buyingThe one thing I did stock up on was frozen vegetables and you know what, it was heaven sent! After the “fresh” vegetables was eaten, I “ploughed” into the frozen stuff and you know what, it was not too bad, although I am still not too sure about the frozen sweet potatoes and butternut. They just are not as sweet as the real thing!

Day 7 - It is OK to be a tortoiseI still go into “tortoise mode” every now and then! As much as what we want this lock-down to be over, whom are we kidding? Therefore no “rush” to get through a list! Will only be fooling myself and am actually quite over that!

Day 8 – Not quite Mary Poppins, but I do have a listAm still working through that list, but at my own pace!

Day 9 – Hobbies and Keeping Busy I gave up on the re-arranging of cupboards, so safe to say, that that is NOT a hobby! Sjoe, dodged that one! If I have to think about what I have done mostly...... reading, binge watching of TV, exercise, cooking and blogging. Maybe those are now my “things”?

Day 10 – Everything Italian This love story is to be continued, as it does not end here.

Day 11 – Madam and Eve - Unfortunately the house cleaning has now become my Monday “thing”. Someone has to do it and there is no sign of Eve coming back any time soon! My sister and I are taking turns checking up on her. She is actually enjoying catching up on her sleep! Cannot blame her!

Day 12 - Pajama Inspiration – Be you, believe in yourself Yeah baby, you got this!

Day 13 – Braving the “outdoors” - A whole blog needs to be dedicated to this! Watch this space tomorrow!

Day 14 – Stress = Migraine – Another “announcement” happening tonight. So far the stress levels are in tact, but who knows in 3 hours from now!

Until next time

Love, light and positive change

Ophelia
