Defogged!

After posting my blog yesterday, a loyal reader messaged me to say that I could drive without my mask. I know that, but with people getting arrested and fined for all sorts of stupid stuff, I am not taking any chances! In saying that, I have always only had pleasant encounters with my local Police, so I guess one should not paint them all with the same brush! I just hope mine are occupying themselves with “real crime” and not with “power trips”. (Before you think that I live a life of crime, I am referring to the times I had to get things certified!)

Then my mother-in-law messaged suggesting that I try putting my glasses firmly over the top of the mask. She too suffers like I do.

I love how my blog gets people talking! The latter I decided to try on my next “outing”.

Dr G called after chatting to my Optometrist. We discussed my “condition” and the route that we should be following. Even though I have already been “out” this week, I had no choice but to get my script filled, since I had to report back to him by Monday if things were not “looking” better. I decided that since my Pharmacy is a 5 minute walk, I might as well get some exercise in and walk there and back.

Walking shoes on, mask firmly under my sunglasses off I went. Now I must admit it actually does work! I actually had NO issues walking there and back fog free! Who knew?! Yes, I did get back before the exercise “curfew” ended!

My face shield arrived this afternoon. Now that is going to be interesting! I might use it on my walk tomorrow morning! I hope I do not look like I am going off to battle! Will let you know how that goes!

The air purifier also arrived today! Got to love delivery within 24 hours, even though they initially said Monday. I decided that maybe that will help with my allergies. An expensive purchase, but I am hoping a worthwhile investment especially when it comes to my eye health and being forced indoors 24/7. Dr G sounded optimistic when I told him about my purchase. Took the advice of Dr Google on this one, although after discussing it with my father-in-law he did agree that I might be on the right track with this one. Only time will tell.

What “silly”, yet frustrating things have you been struggling with? Have you taken advice, looked for solutions or decided just to “live with it”?

My cloth mask washed for the 2nd time this week. Time to give it an iron, since ironing also helps in killing off any remaining bacteria. Do not ask! Am on the fence with that one, but figure I have nothing to lose and a few minutes to kill.

Until next time.

Love, light and positive change
