Life, oh life

As I am typing the title for today’s blog, the tune of Life by Des’ree pops into my head. Have no clue as to why, but am then motivated to look up the words of the song and even though I was not thinking completely down those lines, the words to seem be fitting.

The title for today, was actually going to be “Why, oh why?”. You see, the week started off good. Managed to apply for my passport which was absolutely pain free. No lines, no drama, actually quite smooth! Apparently it will be ready in two weeks time, which if it does happen, I will be utterly impressed by, especially since during this pandemic unfortunately there has been endless complaints about certain government departments. Anyway, moving swiftly along, since I know that you are wondering why, “Why, oh why?” Well as I said the week started off good. Was in a “zone” of being completely focused by my intentions for the day and then “wham” out of nowhere, am “hit” by a little medical issue which sees me phoning my surgeon in a panic. Unfortunately its his “clinic day”, but they do manage to squeeze me in for a consultation on Thursday morning. So Wednesday is spent “fretting” and unfocused, until my appointment. Unfortunately for me the surgeon cannot accurately diagnose me unless he does a “little procedure”, which he schedules for next Friday. As I get into my car, in a slight daze, I center myself and have a little talk to the fears which are on the edge of having me in tears.

I pull myself towards myself and try and focus on my Coaching Mastermind Group session happening later in the morning. In the session we speak about our wins and our challenges and I realize that since our last session I have accomplished so much and that I just have to continue on the path on which I find myself. As we are about to log off one of the coaches asks about our morning routine as she is struggling with getting her “mojo back” and of course we all can relate, as it has been a daily challenge for us all.

I mention how I found that when I did not spend time on my spirituality with my Book of Daily Wisdoms for Woman, followed by prayer and my gratitude journal, morning walk or some sort of exercise, my day was basically “buggered” and “unfocused”. Those are the things that get me going because during that time my intention for the day becomes clear. I am also very much an “in the moment”, go where my “flow” takes me, as that is when I feel inspired and just get on with it. At the end of the day one needs to do what works for you. I also voiced that it was OK to not feel OK and about the equilibrium of life and that maybe she was being distracted by things which were not highest on her list of values and the importance of focusing on all 7 areas of life, not just on 1 area. If we look at our life as a wheel with its different spokes, if 1 spoke is broken eventually the weight of it will affect the others.

As I voiced all of these things, I was once again slapped back to reality by my own advice on life and the old saying of “practice what you preach”. So yes, even though why oh why does come to mind with my pending procedure, its the realization of at least I have life oh life

So after all is said and done, I know I'm not the only one, Life indeed can be fun If you really want to, Sometimes living out your dreams, Ain't as easy as it seems You wanna fly around the world, In a beautiful balloon, [Chorus] Life, oh life, oh life, oh life”

Until next time,

Light, love and GROWTH
